What modalities do you use?

I primarily utilize strengths-based therapy and EMDR, but I also employ other modalities as appropriate to help clients reach their goals for greater mental health.

How will we know if therapy is working?

We will establish the goals from the outset, and then do routine check-ins to monitor progress. Additionally, EMDR has very specific metrics built into the eight phases for measuring progress.

How long does EMDR take to work?

Accepted Answer

This varies: EMDR’s powerful effects on resolving trauma can sometimes be seen in a few sessions for one person, perhaps more for another, particularly if their trauma was more complicated. It all depends on the individual. But we check in every session to monitor progress and communicate about your goals. The client drives the process; the therapist is the facilitator.

Do you prescribe medications?

No. An LCSW-C does not prescribe medications. However, I can be part of a team that includes prescribing physicians.

Does Telehealth work?

Yes! Telehealth can be as effective for young adults, adults, couples, and seniors as in-person visits - including EMDR.

Yes! You can do EMDR via Telehealth to achieve the same successful results.

Yes! A hybrid approach is fine.

No; I do not take insurance. However, I offer a sliding scale for those who need it. Please feel free to inquire.
